Die GFDL war als Lizenz für Dokumentationen freier Software gedacht.
Da gibt es normalerweise keine Zitate. Das heißt aber nicht, daß man
die GFDL nicht auch auf Werke mit Zitaten anwenden kann oder soll.
Wie das geht, frag ich jetzt einfach mal gnu gnu.org (s. unten)...

Non-free quotes in a GFDLed text

Hi!
At the first Oekonux conference in Dortmund, last weekend, the
speakers have been kindly asked to release the papers of their
lectures under the GFDL. However, there seems to be one problem:
What about including non-free quotes, e.g. pictures?
It seems perfectly legal to include such stuff, also to allow others
to copy and distribute the work as a whole....
But what about modification? If an author releases his work under the
GFDL, he also allows modifications of the quotes within the document.
This, however, seems to be copyright infringement.
Is there an easy way to solve that problem? Perhaps some note like
this:
Permission is granted blah blah ...
WARNING!
This document contains quotes on which the GFDL does not apply.
However, you are allowed to copy and distribute these quotes along
with the GFDLed parts of the document, and to include such quotes
in a modified version.
